This familial, human-scale funeral complex offers a warm and inviting space that can accommodate small, intimate groups as well as large receptions. With its terrace, children's corner, etc., every detail is designed to ensure your emotions are handled with serenity.

What to do in the event of a death?
- Call your funeral home
Jonathan indicates the importance of quickly picking up the deceased so that he or she can be transported to a secure place. Our lines are open 24/7 to assist you in any situation: death at home, in a CHSLD, at the hospital or even abroad.
Once you've completed this step, you can start planning what's next without any rush. - Make an appointment with a family advisor
This meeting should be scheduled quickly.
At the time of the appointment at the Bellechasse funeral home, Jonathan is available to reassure families. Don't hesitate to discuss your situation with your advisor. By knowing your emotional state, your level of fatigue, etc., he or she will be able to find, with you, the solution that will allow you to take the load off your shoulders.

How long does the appointment last?
On average, an appointment with your family advisor lasts 1h30, but he will take longer if necessary. Afterwards, he will follow up by phone or in person, whenever possible and depending on availability.
What are the administrative and legal formalities following a death?
There's no need to rush through these formalities on the same day. You will be provided with a list of everything that needs to be done and thought about, and a follow-up will be carried out. All you have to do is let your advisor guide you. It should be noted, however, that the longer you take to provide the requested documents, the longer it will take to receive the government documents and, where applicable, those of the estate.
In short, we take care of everything so that you can concentrate on the details that will enable you to pay the tribute that will make you feel good and help you through your bereavement.
What about government benefits?
The Québec Pension Plan offers a surviving spouse's pension and an orphan's pension.
There is also a special death benefit for funeral expenses offered by the social assistance program, which may be granted if the deceased did not have the financial resources to pay for funeral expenses.
The QPP itself determines the amount allocated to each person.
On our side, we make the request on your behalf, and you will receive an answer from the government within 8 to 10 weeks.
How much does a funeral cost?
We offer basic packages at affordable prices - click here for details. However, we adapt to the needs of each family and offer personalized services. Whether you opt for simplicity or complete personalization, we'll accompany you as far as your imagination takes you, as far as possible and in line with your budget.
What is the importance of a ceremony?
Honoring the memory is also for those who remain, for oneself. We do it in the image of the deceased, but with the aim of helping the living to mourn.
Over the years, Memoria has developed an expertise in bereavement support. Guidance is a natural need at any age.
When it comes to organizing the funeral ceremony, your advisor will offer you the space and time to fully experience your emotions, surrounded by your loved ones and professional support staff.
We have a wide range of tools at your service, to adapt the ceremony to the tastes, talents, personality, etc. of the deceased.
The loss of a loved one is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so it's important to have the right support to lay the groundwork for your mourning journey.
